Letter from the Chapter President
Welcome to Chi Omega! My name is Val Scimeca, and I’m the chapter President. I hope this site gives you a glimpse into the ethos of our chapter and the women it comprises.
So many of my favorite Stanford memories are from Chi Omega: parties, alumnae tea, chapter retreats. I’ve found some of my best friends in Chi O—friendships that will last a lifetime—and I’m beyond grateful to have found a home and a family among these women. The experience has enriched my college experience and my life in ways I could’ve never expected.
Chi Omega is the largest sorority in the world, with over 360,000 initiates, 181 collegiate chapters, and 243 alumnae chapters. This means our sisters are connected with the largest group of alumnae in the world. The benefits of membership are lifelong and span generations.
Our members are different from each other in so many ways, but it’s our values that unite us. As you explore our page, take a look at our Six Founding Purposes. These are the underpinnings of the values our members share, and for many of us, they are part of the reason we chose Chi Omega.
